Paisley Babylon is Joe Wallace, who is also one half of Illinois Department of Sound. This 10-minute long extended single features a winding sonic journey that goes from almost noise to pastoral, quiet moments with a LOT of surrealism thrown in along the way.

This recording is produced by humans. No artificial intelligence, unattended generative synths, or otherwise hands-free recording and manipulation is at work here. This is 100% human produced, live, in the moment and spontaneously created work.

Paisley Babylon recordings are a bit like the action paintings of the 1950s. The whole complete work is created in a big sweeping movement that lasts minutes, hours, or days. It is then moved into an editing and refining stage before the entire fever dream is unleashed upon your ears.
