An album like this is tough to classify for those who are new to the kinds of musical and sonic explorations done here, but if you like Coil, Nurse With Wound, instrumental Skinny Puppy (BRAP, anyone?)

Throbbing Gristle, Can, or Eno, you may find this hour-long space voyage worth a listen....and another...some tell us they hear different things every time they listen.

Illinois Department of Sound is based in Springfield, Illinois. The duo, Joe Wallace and markobarloco create music with a variety of handheld, battery-operated, and unconventional instruments as well as guitar, vintage synth gear, and a Mount Everest-sized collection of stompboxes and delay pedals.

This album was recorded live to tape, as it were, with no overdubs and minimal editing. It is presented here as a single one-hour musical experience rather than individual tracks. The presentation goes counter to modern music marketing practices; that is just how IDoS likes it.

IDoS is available for select bookings and live performances, but the main thing they want you to know is that life is a space voyage, it is important to leave the capsule (if you dare) to explore what Major Tom saw.
