Ghost Inversion 12x18 Stretched Canvas Art Print by Joe Wallace

Part of a brand new series by Joe Wallace, Ghost Inversion is inspired by the heavy band Ghost, but also by import heavy metal album covers of the 1980s, including Mercyful Fate, Witchfinder General, and the awesomely titled compilation, Metal For Breakfast.

The imagery in this artwork is meant as a deliberate middle finger to Project 2025 and those who support it. This is an art print on stretched canvas, the original is on watercolor paper, made with gesso, india ink, acrylic paint, and coffee.

What inspires this series? Current events, the imagery of 90s industrial music, too much caffeine, and the need to find others who are similarly inspired or who appreciate the darker imagery of the genre and those related to it.
