Astrid Telegram 12x18 Stretched Canvas Abstract Art Print by Joe Wallace

Astrid Telegram is an abstract work originally created on watercolor paper with gesso, India ink, painter's tape, coffee, ink, and acrylic paint. This series is inspired by kanji, katakana, and other non-western alphabets and visual influences.

This series is inspired by the three years I lived in Misawa, Japan. My influences here are not so much cultural as VISUAL...the visual landscape of Japan and its non-western writing flying by on a train or in a car is a major factor in how these works are created.

Astrid Telegram is only one of a long series of similar work, but this specific work is offered as prints only at the moment. I'm hanging on to the originals for art shows in the coming year.

This work is shipped flat as it is an art print on canvas placed on stretcher bars for easy hanging.
