Paisley Babylon Releases Forgotten Survivors of the Robot Wars

Joe's Exploding Zoo house band Paisley Babylon has released a new album with a whopping THREE HOURS of material. Forgotten Survivors of the Robot Wars is now live on streaming services everywhere, including YouTube (see below.)

Current events inspire this album, along with the revulsion associated with the increasing use of artificial intelligence in creative endeavors, and the general unreliability of legacy media in today's politically tumultuous environment.

All that said, there is NO MENTION of current events on this album. It's meant to be more of a snapshot of the zeitgeist in the moment of creation.

Forgotten Survivors of the Robot Wars is 100% human made with no AI assistance of any kind. All sounds are produced, edited, manipulated, and repurposed by Joe Wallace except where otherwise credited. Real-world gear was used to create this record including semi-modular synthesizers, guitars, vocal chords, effects pedals, analog synthesizers, drums and hand percussion.

Paisley Babylon got started in 1992 in San Antonio, Texas. After many cassette-only releases and live performances, Paisley Babylon released its first full-length album on compact disc, The Alpha Wave Variations, on Uncle Buzz Records in 1998. Today, Paisley Babylon records and performs in Springfield, Illinois.
